manufacturing history

• in 2016 we started out by making a couple small batches of about 100 simple packs in a basement in utah.

• in 2017 we found a factory in arizona and made our first batch with them. we used this factory until early 2020.

• 2020-2021 we made our packs with a small team we trained in ogden, utah.

• 2021-present we make most packs in vietnam, most apparel in china, and some small batches with the ogden team.

• our end goal has always been to use high end factories in asia for their sewing expertise, quality control, and proximity to the technical fabric mills we work with. in our experience these factories are much more dialed than domestic operations.

• we are a small team (2 ppl). outsourcing manufacturing lets us spend our time designing and testing rather than running a small factory.

• we price our products with the most reasonable margins possible based on the cost per unit that we are charged by our factories.
